The company was founded in 2006 by Patrick Kelly and Jonathan Weindruch to provide advanced mapping features and functionality through an easy-to-use web interface for non-technical users.

Patrick Kelly has been producing maps for presentations and reports for over a decade in the education industry. After spending years in the education policy arena, he realized that there was no quick, convenient, and cost-efficient solution for creating custom maps for reports and presentations. In order to make great looking custom maps, one needed to spend thousands of dollars on mapping software and more time and money on training to learn the software. MyOnlineMaps.com is designed for all professionals and map enthusiasts (not just programmers with advanced computer skills) who want to create great looking maps, but don’t have the time or resources to invest in expensive and complicated mapping software.

Jonathan Weindruch is a web strategy consultant with expertise in e-business, Internet marketing, and web site development projects. As the owner of Websults, a web site development agency, he has been involved in online dynamic mapping since 2004. His mapping development experience includes generating dynamic maps via a variety of open-source web technologies. He has developed custom map solutions for several clients including the State of Tennessee and Painter Ready.
